Some Days Others Say It Better

It's getting NASTY in the Republican/Neo-Stalwart US Senate Primary in Wisconsin. Tommy Thompson was the "front runner" early on, then a banker named Eric Hovde started dumping a ton of money into his campaign (ala-Ron Johnson) to take the lead. Oh, let's not forget Mark Neumann, perceived as a perennial candidate in Wisconsin politics, but someone who clearly did not want to let Tommy Thompson go unchallenged to token opposition when conservatives have overrun the Republican Party.

Now, with a week and a half to go, this race is literally any ones game, and the gloves have come off. Hovde and Thompson have been bashing each other over a list of things, while Neumann, who lagged in the polls early, racked up national tea party support. Now, it's a 3 way race where everyone is pulling everyone down. Some days, other people can say it better, like this picture of Associated Press reporter Scott Bauer's Twitter account:

While Tommy has the name recognition of over 45 years in politics, Eric Hovde has the bank account to make his name more well known. Mark Neumann on the other hand, has the "Citizens United" backing of national groups who have poured money into the race to deny the less conservative Thompson the race.

Hey Democrats... watch how this plays out, but be ready for one hell of a tough fall campaign! I've been saying this for a while now, but we REALLY need to work now. As nasty as it gets on the other side, they WILL be united this fall.
